Documents, with room to breathe

Give your diagrams room.

Markdown, Word, Excel and CSV, turned into PDFs you can actually read. Body text stays on ordinary pages. A wide diagram gets the space it needs.

The page follows the figure

Stop squeezing the useful bit.

A wide flowchart shouldn't become tiny type on a portrait page. Plate|Fold measures it, tries a landscape plate, then a larger sheet, and finally a page cut to its proportions.

The paragraphs around it can stay on Letter or A4. You get one PDF with room where it's needed.

Placement ladder: inline, landscape plate, then a custom page

Documents in, PDFs out.

Markdown, Word, Excel, CSV and TSV. Headings, tables, local images and Mermaid diagrams stay part of the document.

Keep diagrams as vectors.

Mermaid renders to SVG. Text stays sharp when a page gets bigger, and PDF bookmarks help you find your way back.

Make it look like yours.

Use a built-in theme, a theme file or a supported source document's palette. Reuse the settings from the app or the CLI.

* Legacy formats need a compatible installed LibreOffice or Pandoc. Conversion can change the layout; Plate|Fold re-lays out documents rather than reproducing Word pages.
